THE SOCIAL INTRAPRENEUR
THE PATH
FROM
SOCIAL TO PROFITS
MY RESEARCH
Social Intrapreneurship are the entrepreneurial processes and activities within a company in innovating for new products, services, or business models that create value for society and the company. The need for social intrapreneurship is built around the need for innovation in business to continuously build a competitive advantage, added by the importance of having a social mission in your business. Not only does society need businesses to contribute to social development, the younger generations of future talent and leaders also expect to work for companies that bring social impact.

My study researches how social intrapreneurship, supported by technology and organizational culture,
helps companies achieve the dual bottom line of financial performance and social impact.
As part of my research, I am conducting a survey on social intrapreneurship in the digital industries in Indonesia. The targeted respondents are digital businesses including those registered in Indonesian digital associations and foundations (idEA, AFTECH, AMSI, Nexticorn, etc.)

ABOUT ME
I have had a passion for technology since having access to our first family PC in 1991. Besides changing how we do things every day in the life, IT has also given opportunities to social innovation with more significant impact as it helps reach a wider audience at a fraction of the cost and effort it was before.
In my 20 years of ICT management, I have seen first hand how social intrapreneurship can make a huge difference, pushing innovation to reach profitable business models while being guided by social missions that aim to develop industries, communities, and society overall.
Now, as a Management PhD Candidate at Binus University, I am researching the topic of Social Intrapreneurship in digital Industries.
